Don’t get caught out by the "Angles Morts" regulations! 🇫🇷🚌
Since 2021, all vehicles over 3.5 tonnes—including buses and coaches—must display blind spot warning stickers when driving on French roads. This is a critical safety measure designed to protect cyclists, motorcyclists, and pedestrians.
📜 What you need to know:• The Sticker: You must use the specific version featuring a bus icon. Using the truck version on a coach can still result in a fine.• The Penalty: Failure to display these stickers correctly can lead to a fine of €135.
📍 Precise Placement for Buses & Coaches:
🚨To be legally compliant, you need to install stickers at a height between 0.9m and 1.5m from the ground in the following locations:
1. Rear Placement: One sticker must be placed on the rear of the vehicle, on the right-hand side (offside for UK vehicles).
2. Side Placement (Front): One sticker on each side (left and right) within the first 1 metre of the front of the vehicle.◦ Note: On buses, this is usually positioned just behind the front wheel arch or on the bodywork before the first passenger window.💡 Top Tip:If you operate a fleet that only enters France occasionally, magnetic stickers or removable suction-cup signs are excellent options to avoid permanent adhesive on your livery. Just ensure they are cleaned and secured properly before departure!Safe travels- stay compliant and order your stickers from DecalWorks today! 🛣️
