Frequently Asked Questions (Fleet & Trade)

Q1. Is it okay to apply vehicle stickers to fleet vehicles?

Yes. Vehicle decals may be applied to body panels, doors, bumpers and windows, provided they do not obstruct driver visibility or cover lights, mirrors, number plates, or legally required markings. Fleet operators are responsible for ensuring all graphics remain compliant with UK road regulations.

Q2. Will vehicle stickers damage fleet vehicle paintwork?

When applied and removed correctly, DecalWorks vinyl decals will not damage factory paintwork. Issues may occur on panels with poor paint condition, previous repairs, resprays, or incorrect removal methods.
For short-term branding or leased vehicles, DecalWorks magnetic vehicle signs offer a fully removable solution.

Q3. Can fleet vehicle stickers fail or lift?

High-quality vinyl is designed for long-term use. Adhesion issues can occur if decals are applied to surfaces that are dirty, damp, oily, dusty, waxed, or textured. Correct preparation and installation are essential, particularly across multi-vehicle fleets.

Q4. What materials does DecalWorks use for fleet decals?

DecalWorks produces all vehicle decals using premium polymeric vinyl, selected for durability, flexibility, and resistance to UV exposure, weathering, and regular vehicle washing—ideal for fleet and commercial use.

Q5. How should fleet vehicle decals be cleaned?

Vehicle decals should be cleaned using warm, soapy water and a soft cloth or sponge. Standard car washes are acceptable. Avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents, or directing pressure washers at the edges of decals.
